Cablelink provide not only regular cabling and networking services; but more importantly also provide the solid technical strength required to supply, implement and maintain the complex copper and fibre structured cabling systems in use today, in addition to understanding the data and voice active hardware systems associated with them.

The understanding we have of our markets comes from the strong roots and technical expertise gained through many years of working within various sectors of the telecomms industry. For this reason, we are suppliers of cable assemblies and cabling services to many dedicated manufacturers of data and voice systems within the EU; including Nortel Networks, Matra Nortel, Cable and Wireless, British Telecom, Equant (France Telecom), Carrier 1, Siemens Networking Services, Fujitsu, Affiniti, Telindus, Dimension Data, Sun Microsystems, Dutch PTT, and Deutsche Aerospace (Dornier) The main services Cablelink provide fit into two distinct areas of operation, Cabling Network Installation Services and Cable Assembly Manufacturing. Ethernet, in computer science, a local area network (LAN) system developed by the Xerox corporation in 1976, originally for linking minicomputers at the Palo Alto Research Center. A widely implemented network from which computer industry standards for networks were developed, Ethernet uses a bus configuration and relies on the form of access known as CSMA/CD to regulate traffic on the main communication line. Network nodes are connected by coaxial cable (in either of two varieties, known as thin and thick) or by twisted-pair wiring. Thin Ethernet cabling is 5 mm ( 1/5 in) in diameter and can connect network stations over a distance of 300 m (1,000 ft); thick Ethernet cabling is 1 cm ( 1/3 in) in diameter and can connect stations up to 1,000 m (3,300 ft) apart. Information on an Ethernet network is sent in variable-length frames containing delivery and control information plus up to 1,500 bytes of data. The original Ethernet standard provides for baseband transmission at 10 megabits (10 million bits) per second.
